In this article the author tried to point out the main advantages and drawbacks of the interaction of different languages and cultures during the process of globalization and establishing English as a global language. What do the traditinal languages and cultures gain and lose? Does Anglo -American culture threaten the national uniqueness of other cultures? How should we preserve the richness of English and other world languages and support the intercultural communication?
